Party "Servant of the people" advocated for a reduction in the number of committees in Parliament

The party of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky “Servant of the people” proposes to form 22 committees in the Verkhovna Rada of the IX convocation instead of 27. This is stated in the statement of political force.



“At the first meeting of the preparatory deputy group, representatives of the Servant of the People party suggested that colleagues reduce the number of committees in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of the 9th convocation from 27 to 22,” the Facebook statement said.

The “Servant of the People” proposes the formation of 22 committees, including the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, the Committee on the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions, the de-occupation of Crimea, human rights, national minorities, interethnic relations and the Committee on Freedom of Speech .

Earlier in Ukraine, the results of the parliamentary elections on party lists were summed up.

According to the final results, out of 225 mandates, 124 went to the deputies of the Servants of the People, who gained 43% of the vote. In second place with 13% "Opposition platform - For life."

The first meeting of the Ukrainian parliament of the new convocation will be held on August 29.
