For its part, the Islamic Supreme Council, the Council of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, and the House of Fatwa in Jerusalem, called on all imams of Jerusalem mosques to close mosques and perform Eid prayers in the Al-Aqsa Mosque only «in response to the occupation decisions to prevent worshipers from holding Eid prayers in Al-Aqsa, and open its doors to the intrusion of settlers».
