Apart from that fire, no fire alarms have been received in the last week, in the neighborhood of Ruda and Fliseryd. But since last spring, the rescue service in Mönsterås has received an alarm about 40 fires that have probably been set. But already last spring, it repeatedly burned in the neighborhood of Fliseryd and Ruda.
- I have notes on more than ten fires that we extinguished, only between May 31 and July 3 last year. All of the fires may have been caused, says Ingemar Idh.
Many fires even last yearThe fact that these fires did not get so much attention, he assumes, is because there were larger forest fires elsewhere in the country.
"So the fires here ended up in the cloud," he says.
The latest fire that the fire service in Mönsterås extinguished was in the district of Johansdal, between Fliseryd and Ruda.
- That fire has been burning and small for a while, people have known the smell of smoke but we have not been able to locate the fire, says Ingemar Idh.
The fire is extinguished now.
Police have not yet found anyone or anyone suspected of causing the fires in the neighborhood of Ruda.
