Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said he would send a written appeal signed by millions of Venezuelans opposing US sanctions to UN Secretary General Anthony Guterres.

“This is a manifesto at the UN, Secretary General António Guterres, which we will send with the signature of millions of Venezuelans,” RIA Novosti quotes Maduro.

He also once again called on Venezuelan citizens to join the protests over US aggressive policies.

“Join now! Venezuela has the right to the future, the right to respect for its self-determination ... no one has the right to intervene, and least of all - (US President. - RT ) Donald Trump, ”he emphasized.

Earlier, Maduro urged the world community on August 10 to oppose the blockade of Venezuela by the United States.

On August 6, Trump signed a decree implying blocking the ownership of Venezuelan authorities in US jurisdiction.
