- The preliminary assessment made by the national bomb protection says it was explosives, but that it did not pose a danger in the form it encountered, says Calle Persson, the police spokesman for the region south.

What does that mean?

- That it required other handles or maybe even more items to make it dangerous, he says.

According to him, a teacher should have first noticed the object inside the school and then carried it out in the school yard. The same schoolyard where a bag of suspected explosives was found during yesterday. According to the police, the two events can probably be linked to each other.

- We believe that today it is related to what was found yesterday, that the object comes from the same bag, says Calle Persson.

The premises were not searched during Thursday

At yesterday's investigations of the area, school buildings were not searched because the bag was found outdoors. But when you went through the premises with a bomb dog today no more bargains were made.

- We do not think that the object was placed indoors deliberately to frighten or cause an explosion. For example, it could be a child who found it and brought it in, says Calle Persson.

"No immediate danger"

Now during the morning the object has been removed from the place and the barricades were lifted just before ten o'clock. At school, the children were initially kept indoors when the police worked on the scene.

"We are in control of the area and the children who are there are in the school," said Katarina Rusin, also she is a spokesperson for the police in the region south, at nine in the morning.

The event is classified as a preparation for the destruction of public property, causing danger to another and illegal occupation with flammable and explosive goods.
