'Ndrangheta: 28 arrests in Reggino

Extensive operation of the State Police, coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Reggio Calabria, aimed at the execution of 28 pre-trial detention orders (23 in prison and 5 under house arrest) against top management, affiliates and nominees of the 'ndrine Muià and Figliomeni and of the powerful cosca Commisso of Siderno. Those arrested are held liable, in various capacities, for transnational and armed mafia association, port and illegal possession of weapons, fraudulent transfer of values, abusive exercise of credit, usury and personal facilitation, committed with the aggravating circumstance of resorting to the mafia method, in order to facilitate the 'ndrangheta.
