On August 8, at around 4:00 p.m. Moscow time, airspace control instruments recorded the launch of four multiple launch rockets in the direction of Khmeimim.
It is noted that at 16:03 the shells exploded in one of the settlements 2 km north-east of the Khmeimim airfield.
“According to the Syrian security agencies, two local residents were killed as a result of the shelling of the terrorists, four more people were injured,” the ministry said.
It is indicated that there are no injuries or injuries at the Russian air base. The department added that the air base operates as usual.
Earlier, militants fired three rockets at the Khmeimim air base.
