Police note that it was a record number of people who took part in the Boat Week this year. Despite this, it was generally a good atmosphere, the police believe.
With that said, it was not peace and joy throughout the week. Initially, various youth groups kept the police employed. But together with social services and night hikers, "one could identify messy young people and remove them from the scene," police say.
It is precisely the cooperation with various parties that the police highlight as a contributing reason for now being able to establish that they are satisfied with how the week was conducted.
