During an NMR demonstration in Kungälv that was held this spring, they were met by masked counter-protesters. One of the counter-protesters was a 40-year-old resident of Halland.
According to the indictment, the man must have worn a mask that covered most of the face, despite the police having on several occasions proclaimed a masking ban.
The 40-year-old man admits he was masked, but says he did not know there was a masking ban at the time.
The man is being prosecuted for violating the law on the prohibition of masking in some cases at Varberg District Court, as the police believe that a disturbance of the general order has occurred.
