In Togo, the National Assembly has adopted a new law that severely restricts the freedom of demonstration in the country. Between 2017 and 2018, the country was shaken by a political crisis, the protesters demanded the resignation of President Faure Gnassinbé and the limitation of the number of presidential terms.
