The kings and their daughters, Princess Leonor and the infant Sofia, have visited this Thursday the Son Marroig House Museum to learn about the cultural and landscape value of this enclave located in the Tramuntana Mountains.

At 10.00, the four have arrived at the farm that was owned by the Austrian archduke Luis Salvador and from which one of the best views of the north coast of the island is obtained.

This visit joins other excursions that Don Felipe and Doña Letizia have done with their daughters in recent years, as kings and also as princes, to know places of tourist interest on the island.

Being an act of a private nature, they have not been accompanied by authorities, but the tour has been done with José María Sevilla and his son, members of the family that owns the hacienda, which dates back to the 16th century.

The kings and their daughters have made the first stop at the Carrara marble temple, one of the most iconic images of Mallorca , from which you get a privileged view of the coast and the Sa Foradada peninsula.

Then, they have moved to the garden and pond area, from where they have accessed the farmhouse to visit the museum's rooms and its square tower.

The Son Marroig House is listed as a Site of Cultural Interest in the Historic Place category.

The estate is linked to the figure of the archduke Luis Salvador (1847-1915), of the imperial house of the Habsburgs, who fell in love with Mallorca since his first trip with twenty years and became a patron and a disseminator of the natural heritage of the island, which resulted in works like "Die Balearen".
