At noon on Thursday, the police became aware of the crimes and the man was then arrested in his absence. Later on Thursday afternoon, he was picked up by police. After questioning, he was arrested by prosecutors on probable cause suspected of gross violation of women.
"The woman must have been subjected to abuse, among other things, I cannot say at this time," says Maria Linné, communicator at the police and continues:
- It is so sensitive and I want to show consideration for those involved. It's also early in the process.
The case will be investigated further and by August 11, the Prosecutor will decide whether to arrest the man or not.
