While the exhibition of the Japan Museum of Comfort Women Peace Prize stopped because of threats and pressure from Japanese right-wingers and politicians, the movement of sharing simple daily photos of miniature girl images among social citizens was shared by social network services (SNS). Turn off.
The miniature peace girl statue is small enough to carry around 13cm wide and vertical.
This miniature girl statue, which looks like the Peace Girl statue in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, is 9 centimeters tall.
Created by artist Kim Un-sung and Kim Seo-kyung, there is an empty small chair next to the statue.
It has been only eight months since the Tokai campaign, but more than 120 photos of the girl were collected.
The group explained that the atmosphere of suppressing freedom of expression was courageous to take pictures of little girls and hold them open in the context of Japanese society.
The aim of the campaign is to allow even more Japanese to meet the girl statue of peace and spread the stories of comfort women and grandmothers.
