Local authorities measured the earthquake at a magnitude of 6.0. The skyscrapers of the capital Taipei have oscillated, awakening people with a start. Taiwan, located at the intersection of two tectonic plates, is often the subject of earthquakes. In April, a magnitude 6.1 earthquake caused 17 injuries.
