Seoul will increase payments to Washington for ensuring its security
U.S. leader Donald Trump said South Korea has agreed to further increase US payments to ensure its security at the expense of the United States military.
He wrote about this on his page on Twitter.
“South Korea agreed to pay significantly more money to the United States in order to protect itself from North Korea,” he pointed out.
South Korea has agreed to pay substantially more money to the United States in order to defend itself from North Korea. Over the past many decades, the US has been paid very little by South Korea, but last year, at the request of President Trump, South Korea paid $ 990,000,000 ..- Donald J. According to him, in the past, Seoul’s payments to Washington to reimburse security expenses were too small. He added that last year, at his request, South Korea has already increased them to $ 990 million.
In January, the media wrote that negotiations between South Korea and the United States over the distribution of costs for the maintenance of the American military contingent on the Korean peninsula were at an impasse.
In March, it was reported that Trump intends to demand that US partners significantly increase funding for US bases on their territory.
