The three women would go from Ekorrdalen on the Swedish side of the border to Norway, but they ended up at Sylarna. They have no equipment and have wet clothes.
The police decided shortly after 20am on Wednesday about mountain rescue, and a private helicopter flew to the scene to pick up the women. It has been raining in the area in the late afternoon.
