Two of the siblings, a 7-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl, applied for asylum in Sweden in November 2018. The Migration Board decided to place the children of relatives in Perstorp municipality, when the children's mother is reported to be deceased and the father missing.

In February 2019, the other two siblings sought asylum in Sweden, an 11-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy. They were placed in the same family.

Should be repositioned - disappeared

The relatives later applied to become a family home for the siblings, but Perstorp Municipality rejected the application.

- We feel that the family is not suitable, the children can get better elsewhere, says Patrik Wilhemsson, Head of Operations for Health and Care in Perstorp Municipality, to SVT News Helsingborg.

The decision for the care was taken on July 11 this year and the siblings were placed in another home. But the children disappeared from there. Something that P4 Kristianstad was the first to report on.

- They have deviated from their own free will, that is the picture we have, says Patrik Wilhemsson.

Request for policy hand cover

The disappearance is reported to the Migration Board.

However, no police report has been made after the disappearance, according to Kent Persson of the Helsingborg Police.

- The officer has been in contact with the police and has made a request for hand-holding, says Patrik Wilhemsson.

- It's about people being taken care of when they show up.
