The summer of Nicolas Sarkozy is well filled. Since the publication of his latest book, Passions , the former President of the Republic connects the dedications and accumulates sales. With over 200,000 copies sold, Nicolas Sarkozy is a hit in bookstores.

Paris, Deauville, La Baule, Toulon, at each signing session of Nicolas Sarkozy, it's the same scene: the crowd of groupies of the former president is here to get a few words and the signature of the one who embodies the last figure charismatic of a right in search of a new leader. He lends himself well to these sessions for several hours, sometimes accompanied by his wife Carla.

This summer, Nicolas Sarkozy has the coast, at least in bookstores, and does not sulk his pleasure. His book Passions sells like hotcakes. With more than 220,000 copies sold in a month and a half, it acts as a bestseller ...

He beats Francois Hollande, who has sold more than 150,000 copies of the Leçons du pouvoir and has toured all over France for months to dedicate it. Nicolas Sarkozy follows the same path. He is expected in Corsica next week.

The attractiveness of the French for the memories of former presidents is not fading over time. Already, the works of Valérie Giscard d'Estaing or Jacques Chirac had broken sales records. Defeat in elections does not prevent success in bookstores. On the contrary. But literary popularity does not guarantee a return to politics.
