Five political prisoners in Egypt have become clear models of systematic abuse, according to the description of independent human rights sources spoke to Al Jazeera Net.

The authorities usually deny criticism of independent human rights organizations and talk about their protection of human rights, saying prisons only include criminal suspects.

According to human rights sources for Al-Jazeera Net, the women's prison in Qanatir al-Khaireya district of Qalioubia governorate north of Cairo suffers from overcrowding among political detainees, especially with the high temperatures currently in Egypt, as well as the lack of time of the visit, which ranges between ten minutes and fifteen minutes in violation of the law.

"However, as all the detention centers are suffering, it is apparent that the prison administration is taking measures against the five detainees without justification," the sources added.

The most recent cases of abuse were attributed to Abdel Nasser Abdullah, who was detained in the case of the well-known media case of the "Alliance of Hope", where she remained in the prison cell of Al-Qanater prison for 24 days, although the standard stay is only 11 days.

The sources added that the drug cell, most of them criminal, is being held in drug cases despite the fact that it suffers from allergies and respiratory problems.

"The official refused to request her transfer and threatened to abuse her, which led to her hunger strike since 20 July 2019."

The campaign "freedom of its right" - aimed at the release of detainees from the jails of the regime - called in a statement to solidarity with the strength and be a voice.

The second case is Ola Najla Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, former head of the World Union of Muslim Scholars, which the sources considered a clear example of abuse within the prison.

She entered the third year of solitary confinement since 30 June 2017. She was also prevented from visiting and was arrested with her husband on the same day.

The sources added that human rights activist Huda Abdel Moneim is still not allowed to visit since November 2018.

According to the sources, her health deteriorated as she continued to be held in the ward, so much so that the guards carried her to the deportation car recently.

The women's movement against the coup in a statement that her condition (Huda) is not good, suffering from a thrombosis and high blood pressure, demanding the release of all Egyptian women from the prisons of the regime.

According to the sources, the photographer Alia Awad, who is treated in prison with medical negligence, may affect her health.

According to medical reports, Alia was recently detained in the prison hospital because she suffered severe fainting and bleeding and had to undergo a third operation according to medical reports. She was in a precarious state because of the limited facilities of the prison hospital.

Aisha Najla Khairat al-Shater, the deputy general guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, is also suffering from imprisonment in a solitary confinement.

Bahaa Saad (Aisha's uncle) said in a blog post on Facebook that she had been suffering from solitary confinement for nine months and had not seen her children.

According to the Human Rights Report of 2018 issued by the Al-Shehab Center for Human Rights (independent), women in Egypt have suffered many violations. They have been subjected to arbitrary detention, imprisonment, humiliation and harassment inside prisons, as well as denial of visits and denial of access to food or medicine. Some have been sentenced to imprisonment for up to five years because of their opinions, relatives or human rights activists.
