Rohingya Issue UN Survey Team Sanctions on Myanmar Military Companies August 7th 4:46

A UN Human Rights Council study team investigating the issue of persecution of Myanmar Minority Rohingyas found that the interests of the companies involved in the Myanmar army have funded military activities that violate human rights. I have published a report calling for sanctions. Myanmar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement rebelling against this report.

A report released by the United Nations Human Rights Council points out the names of companies owned by Myanmar military executives and points out that they are developing a wide range of economic activities such as construction, travel, insurance and banking.

And the interests of these companies are also relevant to the UN Security Council and Member States, as they have also funded military activities that are causing human rights violations against Rohingya people. It calls on companies to impose financial sanctions.

In addition, we are requesting that transactions be stopped with specific names of foreign companies, including two Japanese companies that have joint ventures with these companies.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar issued a statement on the 6th, saying, “The Myanmar government is opposed to the establishment of a survey team based on an unfounded claim, and the report prepared by the survey team is firmly rejected.” The

The team is expected to submit a final report to the UN Human Rights Council next month.
