Demonstrations took place this Tuesday, August 6 in Pakistan bringing together a few dozen people in some cities of the country. Protesters, including many residents of Pakistani Kashmir, expressed anger and concern in the aftermath of India's decision to revoke the autonomous status of Indian Kashmir. The two neighboring countries each claim sovereignty over the entire territory of Kashmir that they share since their partition in 1947. Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke in front of the Assembly, accusing India of applying its extremist ideology and racist.

" A genocide in Indian cashmere. This is said to fear Imran Khan, the Pakistani prime minister. In front of the senators and the deputies, his tone was particularly virulent. The extraordinary parliamentary session had been adjourned earlier in the day because of tensions in the hemicycle.

The opposition accused the Prime Minister's ITP of not having a strong enough reaction after India's decision to end Kashmir's special status. The Pakistani Prime Minister opted for an aggressive tone at the resumption of the session. He accused the BJP, the party of Narendra Modi, his Indian counterpart, of having a fanatical and racist ideology. " They are acting against their Constitution , against the Supreme Court and the UN resolutions, " he chanted.

" Two neighboring nuclear powers can not take such risks, we must solve our problems through dialogue, " he insisted. Because if there is a war, no one will win and the consequences will be international. "

In the political class, everyone condemns the decision of India and demands a strong reaction from the authorities; also calling for the involvement of the United Nations in this litigation and the international community, including the United States as a mediator.
