According to the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (CTAC), Kim Jong-un "highly appreciated that the launch of tactical guided missiles of a new type to demonstrate force was carried out satisfactorily in accordance with the intended purpose."
The DPRK leader also said that "today's military operations will be an opportunity to send a suitable warning to joint military exercises conducted by the United States and the South Korean authorities."
Earlier it was reported that the United States is monitoring the situation with the launch of DPRK shells from the east coast and is holding consultations on this topic with Japan and South Korea.
