According to the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (CTAC), Kim Jong-un "highly appreciated that the launch of tactical guided missiles of a new type to demonstrate force was carried out satisfactorily in accordance with the intended purpose."

The DPRK leader also said that "today's military operations will be an opportunity to send a suitable warning to joint military exercises conducted by the United States and the South Korean authorities."
