July 29, 2019He was called Santino William Legan and he was 19 the killer who opened fire yesterday at the Gilroy Food Festival, California, killing three people, including a 6-year-old boy, and injuring fifteen, before being shot dead by the police.

The killer, of Italian and Iranian origin, would have nurtured supremacist instances, shared on his Instagram profile just before shooting into the crowd.

Investigators are looking for a possible accomplice, but meanwhile details on the attack are beginning to emerge: Legan, soon identified by the investigators who did not immediately disclose his personal details, to avoid metal detector checks at the entrance, came from a side area along which a stream flows, it has cut a part of the fence and has slipped into the crowd of the very popular event, not only in California, a sort of garlic festival.

He headed to the area where a concert was being held and there he started shooting into the crowd. The musicians jumped under the stage, the spectators tried
shelter using the tables of the stands as barriers. In one video you hear a discharge of six shots in a few seconds, then another burst. A witness said he heard Legan shouting that he was "very angry". The police, who intervened after the emergency number was called, killed Legan. Next to the body a backpack with a rifle and ammunition was found. Meanwhile it is manhunt for the second suspect on the run. The police continue to be deployed at the scene of the attack.
