A real tragedy expressed by an Egyptian citizen lost his son and twenty of his family, in the explosion that took place on Sunday evening in front of the Institute of Oncology in Cairo.

According to a video posted on an Egyptian website, Haytham Talkhan explained that his large family lives in Al-Basateen area. However, due to the circumstances of the death of a relative, she decided to arrange for the wedding of two family members in another area.

Haytham added that the family was traveling in a minibus returning from the wedding when the explosion took place in a car that was driving in front of it, killing his son and the rest of the family, adding that the bodies of seven of them were turned into pieces. Assembled in plastic bags.

Despite these difficult circumstances, the Egyptian citizen complains that the authorities refused to hand over the bodies of the victims for burial and said they wanted to record the cause of death as an accident rather than an explosion.

Different accounts
Earlier in the day, the Egyptian Interior Ministry said that the amount of explosives in a car was designed to carry out a terrorist operation led to the explosion that took place last night, while President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi threatened to confront "terrorism."

The ministry was quick to accuse the "ruling movement" - which the authorities say belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood - was behind the preparation of the car to carry out a terrorist operation, and said the car was reported stolen months ago.

The new novel contradicts the story revealed by the Egyptian Interior Ministry after the incident, in which it was announced that the explosion, which left about seventy dead and wounded, was caused by a speeding car that was traveling in the opposite direction.

For his part, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi said that the explosion that took place last night in Cairo's Qasr al-Aini was a "cowardly terrorist".

On his Facebook and Twitter pages, Sisi expressed his condolences to the Egyptian people and to the families of the martyrs who were killed as a result of the cowardly terrorist incident and said his country was determined to "confront brutal terrorism and uproot it."
