Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu sent his deputy, General Dmitry Bulgakov, to the incident area.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified that the personnel of the warehouse where the ignition of powder charges occurred was evacuated. The fire center is localized with the involvement of fire armored vehicles.

“The explosions are very loud. My balcony door opened from the explosion, and I am located 10 km from Kamensk. More and more half an hour happens. The city siren sounded. People have panic, no one knows what to do, ”said an eyewitness.

Other witnesses in a conversation with RT noted clouds of smoke that were visible in the area of the military unit.
“The explosions were very loud and huge clouds of smoke. Relatives say that everything in the houses went as fast as they live on the edge of the city in the direction of explosions, ”said the interlocutor RT.
