Pompeo said that Crimea "must return" to Ukraine

Pompeo was asked if he believes that the Crimea "will never return to Ukraine."

“The position of the United States is that it is unacceptable. Crimea should return, ”the state secretary replied.

Earlier, Pompeo urged not to compare the recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights and the reunification of the Crimea with Russia.

Crimea became the Russian region after the referendum held in March 2014, in which the majority of residents spoke in favor of reunification with Russia.
