The corresponding statement was published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is concerned about the decision of the United States to withdraw from the Treaty on the Elimination of Medium and Short Range Missiles ... His denunciation is capable of provoking a new arms race," the department said.

The Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan stressed that they consider the INFMT to be a unique historical agreement, thanks to which they succeeded in destroying a number of means of delivering nuclear weapons and making progress in nuclear disarmament.

Earlier, the White House said they were not afraid of an arms race with Moscow after the end of the INF Treaty, as the leaders of the United States and Russia Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin have good relations.

On August 2, the Russian Foreign Ministry officially announced the termination of the INF Treaty in connection with the US withdrawal from the treaty.
