A sailboat that was passing between Ireland and France and had not given any news for several days was found empty of any occupant Saturday evening, near the island of Ouessant.

Unsuccessful night searches

Based in Lorient, in the Morbihan, the sailboat, "Aelig", was spotted on Saturday evening around 20:30 to 3 nautical miles (about 5.5 km) north-west of Ushant, said a statement from the maritime prefecture. Taken in tow, the "Aelig" was brought back to the island. Aerial searches continued unsuccessfully until midnight.
