The withdrawal concerns cheeses sold in the form of 25-gram portions and 200-gram slices between 9 July and 2 August. The suspect lots bear the numbers 3178B DDM 15/09/19, 3170B DDM 16/12/19, and 8171A DDM 13/09/19.

The Société des Caves has withdrawn from sale several lots of Roquefort brand Company because of "the detection of the presence of salmonella," she said in a statement.

"Following the discovery of the presence of salmonella in a batch of raw milk PDO Roquefort, Société des Caves is withdrawing the sale of some products," says the statement released Friday on its website by the company based in Roquefort , in Aveyron. This is Roquefort Company marketed in the form of portions of 25 grams and slices of 200 grams, between July 9 and August 2. "The suspect lots have been withdrawn in stores as a precaution," says the text.

"Some of these products have however been marketed before the withdrawal measure," said the company, which recommends that people who hold products belonging to the incriminated lots "not to consume them".
The suspect lots bear the numbers 3178B DDM 15/09/19, 3170B DDM 16/12/19, and 8171A DDM 13/09/19. Foodborne illness caused by salmonella causes gastrointestinal disturbances, often accompanied by fever within 48 hours after consumption of contaminated products. These symptoms may be aggravated in young children, immunocompromised individuals, pregnant women and the elderly.
