"Two women were injured" in an explosion just outside the city center, officials told AFP emergency center. A second blast rang out in the city center, the police added. According to the Government, "bombings" are at the origin. Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha was informed of the "bombings and ordered an immediate investigation," said government spokeswoman Narumon Pinyosinwat, adding that "security measures have been strengthened" .
The Thai capital is hosting a meeting of Foreign Ministers from Southeast Asian countries in the presence of their American, Russian and Chinese counterparts.
