WASHINGTON (Reuters) - More than half of House Democrats in the House of Representatives are in favor of starting measures to isolate President Donald Trump, media reports said on Friday.

Of the 235 House Democrats in the House of Representatives, 118 of them are now in favor of starting Trump's dismissal, and the new situation is expected to prompt House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to change her mind and support the start of the measure.

Senior officials in the Democratic Party fear that entry into this measure would weaken the party's position during the presidential election campaign in 2020, because it could lead to some sort of blackout on their favorite subjects such as the environment, health coverage and judicial reforms.

The movement of claimants began to begin the Trump dismissal procedure after the testimony of former Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller at the end of July about his two-year investigation into Russian interventions in the 2016 election and doubts about Trump's attempt to disrupt the judiciary.

Muller's report touches on what Russia did to Trump in the 2016 campaign and describes in detail how the Trump team welcomed this and repeatedly lied about it.

A number of Democratic lawmakers have a duty to take action to counter signs condemning the president whatever the political consequences of this.

Democratic lawmakers can launch the measures because they have a majority in the House of Representatives, but the completion of the process will be doomed to failure because of Republican control of the Senate.
