“The deceased bus driver, a 59-year-old resident of Stavropol, was stopped by DPS officers as part of Operation Sleeping and Driving while crossing the border with Stavropol Territory. However, the driver refused to rest. One of the versions of the incident is now being considered - the bus driver’s fatigue, ”the department said.
As a result of a collision of a bus and a truck in the Stavropol region, at least five people died, 18 were injured.
Three people remain in serious condition.
The incident occurred on the Astrakhan-Elista-Stavropol highway in the Apanasenkovsky district.
