Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) took the lead of the Rally Finland on Friday by winning the 7th special after midday assistance, preceding his team-mate Ött Tänak, current leader of the world championship.

The Finn now beats the Estonian by 4 tenths, while the latter controlled the debates in the morning. It is also a Toyota that occupies the 3rd place, the British Kris Meeke 5 tenths of Latvala.

Finland's Esapekka Lappi (Citroën) was fourth at 1: 6, 10th and French team-mate Sébastien Ogier 6th at 12 sec 6 / 10th, Irishman Craig Breen (Hyundai) placing 5th 10 seconds behind the leader.

Four more specials will be played on Friday afternoon.
