"Far Eastern hectare" in Buryatia and Trans-Baikal Territory

Tougher penalties for falsifying documents

On the same day, responsibility for forging official documents is becoming tougher. From now on, such an offense will be punishable by restriction or imprisonment for up to three years or by forced labor for up to three years. The previously envisaged sanction was two years.

In addition, a penalty is imposed “for the acquisition, storage and transportation of forged official documents” for use or sale. Guilty will face up to one year of imprisonment or restriction of liberty or forced labor for the same period.
