A total of 238 fires were registered in the Far East Federal District: 154 in Yakutia, 36 in the Trans-Baikal Territory, 32 in the Republic of Buryatia, 10 in the Khabarovsk Territory, 5 in the Amur Region, 1 in the Kamchatka Territory.

Due to forest fires, an emergency situation was introduced in one municipal district in Yakutia and in one in Buryatia.

Earlier it was reported that the chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia Alexander Bastrykin sent investigators to the regions of Siberia and the Far East to determine the causes of fires.
