US President Donald Trump has ordered the US Trade Representative (USTR) to ensure that countries that have achieved economic growth do not benefit from the status of developing countries in the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Trump told the USTR that economic growth should take place to ensure that countries that do not need benefits do not have the right to give themselves the status of a developing country.

In the meantime, it will take Brunei, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Macao, Qatar, Singapore and UAE, the top 10 gross domestic product gross domestic product.

He also mentioned Korea, Mexico and Turkey, which are members of the G20 and OECD member countries.

Mr. Trump argues that these countries are not fair because they are receiving various benefits from WTO trade disputes and market opening through the status of advanced WTO developing countries.

President Trump argued in the instructions document that he was receiving unfair benefits, particularly referring to China separately.

In the meantime, if the WTO fails to make substantive progress in this matter within 90 days, the United States has declared that it will unilaterally stop treating developing countries to these countries.

"The WTO is using old-fashioned bipartite schemes between developed and developing countries, and that is why some WTO members are getting an unfair advantage," Trump said.

President Trump said the directive is aimed at China, which has been undergoing a trade dispute. But as Korea is mentioned together, there is an interest in whether changes in the status of South Korea's developing countries will occur.
