Saudi media reported that the number of Saudi soldiers killed during the last two days reached 13 during the ongoing confrontations with the Houthis in the southern border.

The Saudi Press Agency reported that seven Saudi soldiers were killed in the clashes in several areas.

Houthi media said that Saudi soldiers were killed in an ambush during an attempt to infiltrate the iron gates of Asir.

Aircraft falling
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen announced today that it had intercepted and shot down a Houthi-guided aircraft in the direction of Jazan city, stressing that all hostile Houthi attempts would be doomed to fail.

In the same context, the Al-Masirah channel of the Houthis reported yesterday - through its account on Twitter - the fall of a spy plane to the coalition forces off the Saudi city of Jazan, which was denied by the coalition, and considered "ridiculous."

The clashes came after the Houthi group recently claimed control of three Saudi military posts in the Asir sector (southwestern Saudi Arabia).

The Houthis have recently intensified their air attacks on Saudi facilities, using the aircraft, which "will not stop until the coalition stops bombing Yemen," according to the official spokesman for the Huthis.
