“I would call the Moscow proposal on gas transit friendly. There are two options for how official Kiev will respond. The first is to throw aside personal ambitions, gossip, threats of nationalists and conclude an agreement that will allow to pour into the Ukrainian economy real money, which is so necessary today. The second option is to firmly continue to follow the precepts of Poroshenko, to give up everything, and in the end he will be left without money and without gas, ”said the deputy.

According to Balbek, today's proposal for gas is “a test of Ukrainian politics: the new leadership is the servants of the people or the conductors of someone’s personal interests.”

Earlier, Novak said that the Ukrainian side was asked to extend the existing agreement on gas transit under the same conditions, but there is no reaction from Kiev yet.

According to him, in the event of making any adjustments to the existing contract, this issue will be discussed between the companies Gazprom and Naftogaz.
