“During the prosecutor’s check, it was established that from 17 to 23 June 2019 the bus driver worked 84 hours instead of the prescribed 42 hours per week, thereby disrupting the work and rest regime of the enterprise’s employee,” said the supervisory agency, which leads Interfax.

It was found that on July 12, the driver of the bus that got into the accident rested four hours less than it should be according to Russian law.

In addition, the company’s activities revealed violations of the requirements of the legislation on road safety and labor protection.

In particular, the prosecutor's office expressed doubts that the bus passed a scheduled inspection.

Following the results of the inspection, the prosecutor’s representation on the elimination of violations was made to the Director General of the carrier.

Earlier, the Karmaskalinsky interdistrict court arrested a passenger bus driver for two months.

The accident occurred on July 14 in the Arkhangelsk region of Bashkiria. Two criminal cases have been initiated into the incident.
