In the DRC, the Common Front for Congo (FCC), the pro-Kabila platform, and the Coalition for Change (Cach) coalition of Felix Tshisekedi announced on July 26 an agreement for the formation of a government. An announcement that comes 6 months after the inauguration of the new president.

It is on their Twitter accounts that the two main negotiators of the coalition have each announced the news. " Finally, white smoke, " says Cash François Muamba Tshishimbi. " The organization into commissions, the quantitative and qualitative distribution are there, " he says. Meanwhile, FCC coordinator Néhémie Mwilanya confirms that an agreement has been reached this Friday, July 26, between the FCC and Cash.

The head of state Felix Tshisekedi and Joseph Kabila have probably played an important role in the outcome of these negotiations so that finally a coalition government is set up shortly.

According to a source close to the negotiators, the agreement was reached in the early morning on Friday after reciprocal concessions obtained thanks to the full involvement of the President of the Republic and his predecessor.

For more details on the new government, appointment is scheduled for Monday, July 29 for a meeting with the press.
