Three students from the Applied Technology High School in Al Ain have devised a smart system to monitor the driver while driving the car, and alert him in case of absence, which will ensure him and the road attendants safety from accidents due to lack of attention of drivers.

Hessa al-Kaabi told Emirates Al-Youm that she and her colleagues Amna Al-Baloushi and Mira Al-Raqiqi carried out a smart system to monitor the driver's fatigue as a graduation project, and the innovation took three months to continue. Our Cars ».

She explained that the idea of the project is aimed at drivers who drive their cars for long hours, and then overcome sleepiness while driving, as the system monitors the features of the face of the driver, and the movement of his eyes, through a camera that is installed in the front, indicating that the system consists of a camera and intelligent application and lighting and «Hern». Al-Kaabi added that the system depends on programming that compares the movement of the eye of the driver with the movement of the human eye in normal conditions. If it is found to be less or colder, or if the driver exceeds the specified speed, the system begins to talk with him three times, for several seconds, The system lights up several warning lights, then uses the "horn" to make a discrete sound to alert the driver and the drivers of the vehicles in the same location. The system can provide phone numbers to other people, The system does it with him.

"We intend to contribute to the reduction of frequent accidents due to the lack of attention of drivers on the roads," she said. "We participated in the competition in the science competition 2019, and we are ranked first in the category of transportation systems and road safety.
