The Syrian state television reported that there were reports of "Israeli aggression on the hill of warm countryside Daraa Gharbi", while the sites said loyal to the Syrian regime that the air defenses addressed hostile objects in the skies of Quneitra south of Syria.

The German news agency quoted a source close to the forces of the regime that the rocket fire originated from the occupied Syrian Golan, pointing to the occurrence of material damage only.

The source confirmed that "the Syrian air defense media addressed hostile targets in the southwestern Damascus countryside."

Residents said they heard loud explosions in the Tel-Hara area and flames were seen from the outskirts of Tel al-Harah from the north-west.

According to Western intelligence sources, Tel al-Hara was a long-standing point of concentration of Russian forces, but the Iranian-backed armed factions took control of it later.

Tal el-Hara is considered one of the most important strategic locations in the administrative borders between three governorates: Damascus countryside, Daraa and Quneitra, which is known as the triangle of death that the government forces regained control about a year ago.

This is the second time that Tel-Hara is being hit by an Israeli missile strike after it bombed Syrian army positions in the hill on June 11.

Israel has consistently carried out dozens of air strikes in Syria on targets that are often Iranian or affiliated with its allied militia, and has consistently stressed that it will not allow Iran to establish a permanent military presence in Syria.
