“China is in favor of a complete ban and destruction of nuclear weapons, is not going to participate in an arms race with any country and will maintain its nuclear potential at the minimum level meeting the needs of state security,” RIA Novosti quotes from the document.
The White Paper also states that under no circumstances will China use nuclear weapons first.
The document also notes that relations between Moscow and Beijing in the military sphere are at a high level and continue to develop.
Yuri Shvytkin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, in an interview with ANF, assessed the prospects for possible military cooperation between the two countries.
