"The equipment obtained will significantly increase the technical capabilities of border guards, reduce the burden on personnel and allow for the effective detection and counteraction of the illegal movement of dangerous radioactive materials across the border," the department said.

They noted that the delegation from the United States tested the operability of the equipment and handed it over to the Ukrainian side.

The complexes were installed at the Bolshaya Pisarevka and Nikolaevka checkpoints on the border with Russia and at the Starokozache checkpoint on the border with Moldova.
