The authorities of Sri Lanka extended the state of emergency introduced after a series of terrorist acts

In May, it became known that the police had identified all nine suicide bombers who committed terrorist attacks in temples and hotels in Sri Lanka during Catholic Easter.

On suspicion of involvement in the attacks, the authorities detained at least 89 people.

The victims of the explosions in Catholic churches and five-star hotels in the country were 253 people.

Responsibility for what happened subsequently was assumed by the terrorist organization Islamic State *.
