Australia, titled in 2015 and 2nd in 2017, won Sunday the 4x100 freestyle women's swimming relay in front of the United States and Canada, in Gwangju (South Korea).

The Australian quartet Bronte Campbell, Brianna Throssell, Cate Campbell and Emma McKeon set a new world championship record in 3: 30.21, beating the 81/100 Americans and the Canadians by 1: 57/100, and failing at 16/100 of his world record set in April 2018.
