“It must be emphasized that there are no surprises yet. Everything corresponds to the sociological surveys that have been recently. Zelensky's party wins elections, wins confidently, it was not a surprise. At the same time, the “Servant of the People” was not able to get an absolute majority on party lists, which was a serious hope for Zelensky and his team, ”explained Shapovalov.
The expert noted the result of the “Opposition Platform - For Life”, adding that it is possible to hope that the interests of the east and south of Ukraine will be represented in parliament in a “serious way”.
“This will create a balance system. As for the other results, of course, Zelensky will have a rather difficult situation of choosing partners, ”he added.
As evidenced by the data of the Ukrainian National exit poll, Zelensky’s party is leading in elections to the Verkhovna Rada, gaining a pre-43.9% of the vote.
At the same time, the Opposition Platform - For Life party preliminarily gains 11.5% of the votes.
