In its competitive system, the UAE has six characteristics that make it the most qualified country to be the strategic point and pivotal country in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, which will serve as a bridge to promote economic, trade and cultural relations between 66% of the world's population.

The UAE attaches great importance to the implementation of the initiative in its strategic geographical location, a gateway through which the Silk Road to the West, Africa and the Arab region can be launched, a fact that the Chinese President has acknowledged and reiterated on more than one occasion over the past two years.

Assistant Undersecretary for Foreign Trade Juma Al-Kit said that the UAE will play an important role in the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, as it possesses all the elements that qualify for such a role.

He stressed that the strategic relationship between the UAE and China is an additional advantage for the country to participate strongly in the implementation of the huge economic initiative, proposed by the Chinese president about seven years ago.

Through the monitoring of the UAE's competitive system, it also includes the important and escalating role played by the country during the past years in the global trade and the global energy market, in addition to the environment of openness and stability, the advanced infrastructure, and the attractive regulations and legislations it provides at various levels, primarily economic and commercial.

The UAE has extensive economic and trade ties with the People's Republic of China, one of the country's most important strategic partners.

The UAE also has an active and active membership as a founding member of the Asian Investment Bank of China-led Infrastructure and seeks to promote development relations in Asia.

Another advantage of the UAE is its advanced logistics capacity, represented by its huge airports and international ports, which are now considered the largest container carriers in the Middle East, as well as its capacity to transport large amounts of cargo that can be used to integrate roads with shipping lanes In the China Belt and Road Initiative.

With this competitive advantage of the UAE, the Belt and Road Initiative will contribute to strengthening the strength and position of the UAE as a global hub for trade and logistics, positioning it as a point of contact between Asia, Europe and Africa.

The initiative will also be reflected positively on increased trade, infrastructure and transportation projects and reduced investment costs, which will open the way for new economic and trade partnerships.

Under the initiative, the cooperation between the UAE and China will be deepened in the areas of nuclear energy, space and satellites, which will contribute to the development of trade, economic and industrial cooperation on the basis of mutual benefits and interests.

It is known that the UAE accounts for 60% of the commodity exports to the region, which are re-exported to Arab, Gulf, European and African countries. The UAE's information technology market is expected to grow by $ 8 billion (AED 29 billion) at an average annual growth rate of 5% between 2017 and 2022.
