Forty-five deputies from all walks of life, including the majority, say "no to the derogation of homeopathy" in a column published by Le Journal du Dimanche, after the government's decision of a total disbursement.

"Homeopathy responds to a real medical need and undeniably contributes to reducing drug consumption and thus combating antimicrobial resistance, recognized as a major problem in terms of human and animal health at the international level", say these parliamentarians LR, UDI and independent, PS, Libertés and territories, LREM as well as MoDem.

"It is difficult to accept the idea that this practice, which has long been recognized by the authorities and the medical community, carried on for more than two hundred years by trained doctors, and registered in the French pharmacopoeia in 1965, can suddenly be relegated to the rank of + fake medicine + ", highlight these elected, including five" walkers ", including Jean-François Cesarini and Blandine Brocard who had protested against the extension of mandatory vaccines at the beginning of the five-year period.

These deputies judge that "faced with virulent positions that have emerged in recent weeks in the public debate, while millions of French claim to find benefits, it is interesting to ask why homeopathy disturbs."

"The total disbursement of homeopathy will inevitably lead to a high percentage of transfer to traditional medicine, which is more expensive and also more likely to cause adverse and secondary effects," they say, thus asking "the government to maintain the level of reimbursement to 30% of this therapeutic method ".

Homeopathy will no longer be reimbursed by social security within a year and a half, decided in early July the government, thus aligning itself with the opinion of the High Health Authority (HAS) who had concluded the absence proven efficacy of these pharmaceuticals.
