Ahead of the Grand Slam: China has come closer to the no-fault diving at the World Swimming Championships with an eleventh consecutive victory in Friday's Gwangju, South Korea. Only two are left on Saturday.

From the top of the 3m springboard, China's Shi Tingmao and Wang Han even scored twice.

Grand Slam or not, it is already a record: never China - nor any other country of course - had won more than ten medals at a World Cup (2011 and 2015).

In artistic swimming, Russia is one of seven titles out of eight awarded. The last to fall into his purse is that of the free team (98 pts).

In dantesque conditions - waves, wind, rain - and after an exceptional effort - a little less than five hours for him, a little more for her - the Frenchman Axel Reymond and the Brazilian Ana Marcela Cunha have each retained the world crown of 25 km in open water.

For Cunha (27), it is even the world's fourth longest distance in the discipline, after 2011, 2015 and 2017; his fifth overall after winning 5 km 48 hours earlier.

Ripping gold in the sprint, for three tenths, Reymond (25) allowed France to finish the week of competition in open water at the top of the nations ranking, with five medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 1 bronze).
